Today at TXT180 we launched an exciting new feature due to many requests from our loyal customers. We’ve called the feature: Alternate Default Message.
HOW IT WORKS
When you go into your control panel and click on Keywords/Auto-Responders – click the edit icon next to the keyword you’d like to set the alternate message.
By checking the box to enable the alternate default message – your account will now send back the alternate message instead of your regular default message if the contact already exists. Some businesses may offer an instant coupon to their customers on the auto-responder, but they may not want them to be able to get this each time. So if the contact is already enrolled – you have the option to send them a different message or nothing at all (by leaving the alt message field blank).
The various scenarios are:
- If the contact is new – they will get the regular autoresponder.
- If the contact is already in list and alt not enabled – the contact will get the regular autoresponder
- If the contact is already in list and alt is enabled, but alt message not defined – no message will be sent.
- If the contact is already in the list and the alt is enabled with alt message defined – it will send the alternate autoresponder.
